This is a small group session which runs for 5 weeks. Each week's class is 2 hours in duration and we explore different methods and mediums each week. If you love Picasso or are more of a de Kooning fan then this course is for you! You will be encouraged to complete at least two paintings during the course. We will explore how to create impact and emotion through gestural brush marks, form and use of colour. You will be free to experiment with a range of mixed mediums including acrylic paint, pastel, ink and tissue/paper collage. We will look at some of the key abstract portrait painters of the last century and take inspiration from a range of printed photos to create our own unique pieces
